A clear idea. A visual expression that fits your brand.

Commercial films for brands and businesses — from the first idea to filming, editing, sound and colour.

I’m Mark Halding. We clarify the campaign’s message and plan the deliverables around the channels where your film will be used. You work directly with me on a visual expression that belongs to your brand.

Commercial films with a clear direction.

From the campaign’s purpose to the final formats.

A commercial film starts with one clear purpose

Does your film need to introduce a product, make a brand recognisable or encourage people to take the next step? Before we talk about cameras and locations, we clarify the message and where the film will be seen. That gives us a practical basis for choosing the images, pace and story that support the campaign.

I’m Mark Halding, working with film for brands, businesses and sport. You collaborate directly with me throughout the project. When a production needs additional specialists or crew, I assemble a team around the work. Scope, responsibilities and deliverables are agreed before production begins.

Plan the film around its channels

A film on a website and a short clip in a social feed are watched in different ways. We discuss channels and formats early: do you need a main film, shorter versions or vertical edits? Should there be subtitles? Does the message need to work without sound? These choices affect both filming and editing.

We define the deliverables together. Different formats may require separate crops, sequences or edits, so it helps to plan them from the outset. The goal is considered film material that fits the agreed message and intended use.

From the first idea to filming and delivery

We begin with a conversation about your brand, audience and the campaign’s purpose. Existing material, references and an indication of your budget help us define the production. We then develop a visual direction and plan what needs to be filmed.

The shoot is organised around locations, participants and the story we have agreed. Light, movement and sound are considered together, whether we are filming sport, products or people in their own working environment.

Editing brings the story together through pace, sound and colour. Review and revisions are agreed as part of the project. The final delivery includes the versions and formats specified in the scope. Music, voiceover, participants and usage rights are clarified in the proposal and production plan.

Film examples with different visual expressions

The selected films above show different approaches to people, energy and movement. Explore the existing New Balance and Watery cases as well. These examples can help us discuss style and direction; your film starts with your own brand and purpose.

If the primary task is to express your brand’s identity and atmosphere, explore brand film production and the story behind your brand.

For a wider overview, read about film production. A campaign may also need photography or a website where the film will be used. We can plan those elements together when they fit the project.

How much does a commercial film cost?

The price depends on the idea, filming days, locations, participants, crew and deliverables. A focused shoot and a campaign across several locations have different requirements. Send a short description of your project, intended channels and any deadline. We can then discuss the scope and prepare a specific proposal.

Can one shoot provide several films?

It can be a useful approach when the different versions are planned in advance. A main film can be accompanied by shorter edits or alternative formats, provided we capture material for those needs. The number of versions, durations and formats therefore forms part of the agreed scope.

Where can filming take place?

Locations are chosen around the story and the practical production plan. I’m based in Hørsholm, north of Copenhagen, and work on productions in Copenhagen and elsewhere by arrangement. Travel, location access and any special requirements are discussed before filming.

For an international team planning a shoot in Denmark, we can use the first conversation to clarify who will be involved, the material you already have and what needs to be arranged locally. Production responsibilities and the working plan are agreed for the individual project.

What should we prepare for the first conversation?

Tell me about your business, audience and the message you want to communicate. Share existing brand material and the channels where the film will appear. You do not need a finished script: we use the conversation to establish a direction and understand what the production requires.
