A website you can keep working with.

A WordPress website should explain your business clearly and make it simple to get in touch. I build visually editable websites where structure, design and your own images work together.

You work directly with me, Mark Halding, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. We start with the content you need and the people who will use your website.

Websites with their own purpose

Your business sets the direction. WordPress gives it room to develop.

Easy editing starts with a clear structure.

Content people can find. Pages you can update. A design that holds together.

From content to WordPress

WordPress provides a flexible framework for your business content. It becomes useful when visitors can find what they need and your team can keep the website up to date.

We therefore plan both the visitor’s path through the website and your work with it after launch.

A structure that makes your business understandable

A business website begins with some straightforward questions: who are your customers, what should they understand and what should they be able to do on the site? Those answers help us prioritise the homepage, services, cases and contact options. Each page has a purpose, so visitors can find their way.

If you already have a website, we review its content first. Some material can be retained; other parts may need to be combined or rewritten. For a redesign, important addresses and internal links belong in the plan, so the new design preserves useful paths to your business.

Visual editing in WordPress

I build websites in WordPress with Elementor so content can be edited visually. We agree which areas your team will update, such as text, images, people and cases. Layouts and repeated elements help you maintain a consistent expression as the website develops.

At handover, we walk through editing on your own website. We also discuss responsibility for updates, backups and any ongoing help. Hosting, domain ownership and maintenance are clarified as part of the project, with their scope specified in the agreement.

Photography and film that fit the design

Your own people, products and working environments make the website recognisable. I can plan and produce photography and film alongside the design. Cropping, placement and formats are considered so content works across desktop and mobile layouts.

Video should have a clear purpose. A short introduction, product film or case can help tell the story. We choose its scope and placement around your message while considering how the material affects the experience of using the website.

Specific website projects

Explore Cervello and Talent Assessment Partners for examples of different visual directions. The selected projects below show more websites. They provide useful reference points for our conversation, while your site is built around your own business.

How we build your WordPress website

Four steps from the first conversation to a website you can use.

  • 01 — Needs and content
We clarify your audience, services and the website’s main purpose. We then prioritise the pages and review existing text, images and functionality. This forms the basis for a specific proposal and a project schedule.
  • 02 — Design and structure
We develop the visual direction and page structure around your business. Content, navigation and contact options are considered together. You review the direction before we build the website.
  • 03 — WordPress and content
The agreed design is built in WordPress with Elementor. We add content and set up the agreed functions, with layouts that can be updated visually. Photography and film can be planned as part of the project.
  • 04 — Review and handover
We review the website, mobile layouts, links and contact options. You receive a walkthrough of editing. Ownership, hosting, backups and responsibility for ongoing updates are clarified, and any important old addresses are included in the launch plan.

FAQ

  • Can we edit the WordPress website ourselves?
Yes. Content is built for visual editing in Elementor. We walk through the areas your team will use on your own website. The agreed content areas can be updated directly; new functions and larger design changes may need a separate agreement.
  • How much does a WordPress website cost?
The price follows the number of pages, content, functions and the work required. Tell me about your business and what the website needs to do. We clarify the scope before I prepare a specific proposal.
  • Can you produce photography and film for the website?
Yes. Photography and film can be planned alongside the website so the material fits its design, placements and formats. We agree the production and delivery as part of the project’s scope.
  • What should we prepare before the project starts?
Share your business information, target audience, services and any existing text, images or brand material. If you already have a site, send its address and explain what works and what needs to change. We establish the content plan together.
  • Can my existing website be redesigned?
We begin by reviewing its content, structure and functionality. Useful material can be retained. Important page addresses and internal links are considered in the plan so visitors can still find the relevant pages after launch.
  • Who handles maintenance and updates after launch?
Responsibility for hosting, updates and backups is agreed before handover. We discuss what your team will maintain and any ongoing help you need. The proposal defines the included work, and we agree a practical launch schedule for your project.

Let’s talk about your project.
